Get to Know
Daniel Caraveo, DDS
From the dentistry patients to the dental team, Dr. Caraveo says that the best part of his job by far is the people he gets to work with every day. It’s always a pleasure joking with them and having fun while he does his very best to deliver comfortable and effective care. Dr. Caraveo has been a part of our dental office since it first opened in 2010, and to learn a little more about him ahead of your visit, keep reading!
Why Did You Become a Dentist?
Dr. Caraveo’s mother was a nurse’s assistant, and she always emphasized the need for more healthcare workers, so she encouraged him and his brother to go into the field. Today, his brother is a nurse, and Dr. Caraveo decided that the best way for him to help people was through dentistry.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from St. Mary’s University, Dr. Caraveo went on to earn his DDS degree from the Baylor College of Dentistry. Since then, he has attended several advanced education courses covering everything from general dentistry to endodontics, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and more. He continues to learn and expand his skillset in order to better serve our patients.
Outside the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Caraveo and his wife, Lidia, have two children, and they enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors. You’ll often find them going on bike rides, taking hikes, or visiting nearby national parks. He says that his biggest hobby is photography, which comes in very handy during their many trips. To relax, he likes to play video games, read, or catch up with the latest sci-fi/action movie.
